We are experienced in working with over seas clients, particularly in the US, with American couples choosing Scotland as their wedding destination. Wedding Services

We would suggest a set menu of one starter, main & dessert (plus a vegetarian option with pre-arranged numbers required) for the whole wedding party, or alternatively, a choice of two dishes per course (plus a vegetarian option). For this, we require a menu pre-order for each individual guest one month before the wedding. If a pre-order is preferred, we request a table plan for the day which clearly indicates what each guest has ordered to prevent any allergen issues and to ensure that our service runs smoothly.

Special Diets:-

Mariposa promises inclusivity and therefore will arrange to provide food for any guests with special dietary requirements such as diabetic, vegan & gluten free dishes, etc.

Children's Menus:-

Our menus can be adjusted to cater for children on your big day, keeping the little guests happy is an important part of any occasion. Our standard 3-Course-Menu is charged at £15.00 per child of 12 years and below.

Menu Tasting Sessions:-

Should you wish to sample your selected menu, it is possible to do this on a set menu basis for a minimum of 2 people once the wedding has been confirmed and deposit paid. Tasting before confirmation is charged at full price.

Beverages:

We use a very reputable supplier for our wines, prosecco & champagnes, which we can supply to you alongside our catering. We are also able to provide your favourite supermarket wine, should you wish for it.
We would suggest a glass (or two) of bubbles for your drinks reception, half a bottle of wine per guest for dinner and a glass of bubbles for your speeches.
We allow you to supply your own Beverages for your drinks reception and dinner. Any surplus wines supplied by yourselves remaining after dinner will be collected and stored safely for your collection the next day. All wines etc supplied by the bridal party will be removed from circulation immediately after dinner unless prior arrangements have been agreed.
No Additional Service Charges .

Special Touches:

As well as providing the pre-planning services and specialised expertise, we will also provide the following:
  • The set up of your event, (the morning before, depending on access to the venue).
  • Master of ceremonies/toastmaster facility for the special day itself.
  • Cake stand and knife.
  • Staff on site right up until the evening buffet has been cleared from the tables ensuring the venue room is cleared and left in a good order for you and your guests to party on.
  • If we are running a cash bar then staff will stay on site until the very end of the event and clear down the venue, ensuring any personal belongings are stored safely.
As we own all our own caterhire equipment, we can advise you on only hiring what you really need, ensuring no extra hidden costs.
